Met zijn sculpturen probeert Rob Voerman architectuur te creëren van fictieve gemeenschappen die in afgelegen gebieden of juist in een stedelijke omgeving wonen. Kenmerkend voor zijn werk zijn de uiteenlopende combinaties van techniek en materiaal. Hij werkt veel met glas en hout.
Rob Voerman (Deventer, 1966) studeerde Landschaps- en tuinarchitectuur aan de Universiteit van Wageningen en volgde de opleiding Beeldhouwen aan de kunstacademie Constantijn Huygens in Kampen. Hij woont en werkt in Arnhem.
